PANELISTS

Professor Myriam Guerra-Balic

Myriam Guerra-Balic, is a professor in the Faculty of Psychology, Education and Sport Sciences–Blanquerna (University Ramon Llull) in Barcelona (Spain). She is a MD specialized in Sport Medicine, with a PhD developed on Exercise Physiology and Down Syndrome. She is the former Vice-Dean of International Relations at the FPCEE-Blanquerna (URL) coordinating national and international exchange programs, cooperation programs and research mobility for students and professors. She has also been a member of the International Relations Committee of the ACSM. She has been developing her career as a professor and researcher for more than 25 years in the field of Health, Adapted Physical Activity and Adapted Sport, especially focused in children, adults and elderly with Intellectual Disabilities. She collaborates with the Health Agency of the Barcelona’s City Council, with the Down21 foundation, and she is also involved in the HYPOXSPORT network. At present, she is member of the Board of Directors of the Global Community Health Foundation.

Professor Dr. Sandra Mahecha Matsudo

Graduated in Medicine by the Colombian School of Medicine. Specialist in Sports Medicine by the Escola Paulista de Medicina at the Federal University of Sao Paulo – UNIFESP. Doctorate – Ph.D. in Sciences and Post Doctorate by the Escola Paulista de Medicina at UNIFESP, Academic Director of the Post-Graduation of the Faculty of Medicine of Universidad Mayor – Santiago de Chile. Coordinator of the Program of Promotion of the Physical Activity in MEDS Clinic in Santiago de Chile.

Member of the Executive Committee of Coalición Mover – Santiago de Chile. Researcher in Sport Sciences at the Centro de Estudos do Laboratório de Aptidão Física de São Caetano do Sul – CELAFISCS. Creator Member and Scientific Counselor of the Program of Promotion of the Physical Activity in the State of São Paulo Agita São Paulo. Founding Member of the International Physical Activity Networks – RAFA and AGITA MUNDO.

Founding member of the International Society for Physical Activity and Health – ISPAH.
ISPAH. Member of the Exercise Medicine Program of the American College of Sports Medicine. Director of Senior Fit – Consulting in Active and Healthy Aging.

Coordinator of the Longitudinal Project of Aging and Physical Fitness and of the Physical Activity Intervention Project in Permanent Institutions for Older Adults in São Caetano do Sul. Creator of the Program of Physical and Functional Evaluation of the Elderly and the Course of Prescription and Orientation of Exercises for the Elderly.

Professor Dr. Sun Yanlin

As the Dean of the School of Physical Education and Educational Sciences of Tianjin University of Sport, Professor Sun Yanlin is a Doctor of Education and a tutor of Master and Doctoral students. He is also the Associate Editor of Asian Journal of Sport and Exercise Psychology, a member of China Society of Sport Science Council, the Secretary-in-chief of the Sport Psychology Division of the China Sport Science Society, a Committee member of the PE and Sport Psychology Division of China Psychology Society as well as an Honorary Professor of Department of Health and Physical Education of the Educational University of Hong Kong. His main research directions: sports motivation, psychological benefits of physical exercise, sports cognition.


MODERATOR

Maryam Koushkie Jahromi

Maryam Koushkie Jahromi is professor of exercise physiology at Shiraz University, and board member of IAPESGW. Her main researches focus on exercise and women health as well as exercise psychophysiology and has conducted numerous thesis and published articles in these fields. She is editorial board member of several national and international journals.
